Vnc ssh tunnel putty11/24/2023 VNC Client keeps connecting for a while./home/sysadmin# (sysadmin is normal user for my box).I type "su" and I submit my root password.I connect to server with SSH including the Tunnel settings I've configured now.Now PuTTY shows "Forwarded ports: " -> "L5902 :5901" (My PC) PuTTY Configuration -> Connection -> SSH -> Tunnels If I add 5901 to ALLOW and ALLOW OUT I can simply connect there without a tunneling. VNC Server is running and I can confirm that. Create the tunnel The first thing to do is create the tunnel that routes packets from localhost (at port 5901) to the remote host (at port 5901) through port 22. (For example Source port: 5050) Next, In the Destination field, enter the destination address followed by the port number. In the Source port field, enter the port number to use on your local system. Select Local to define the type of SSH port forward.
